Description

MiradorIT LLC, a small but rapidly growing provider of professional and managed IT services, is seeking an Information Technology System Engineer to join our team in Concord, NH.  As an integral member of our Service Delivery team and our organization, you will be responsible for implementation of both remote and on-site projects, providing high-level technical support for our clients, maintaining, and enhancing their IT infrastructure, and providing advanced support to other team members.  This includes responding to inquiries, troubleshooting problems, configuring systems, and maintaining network infrastructure.  The System Engineer is expected to organize and perform their daily work in-line with the MIT Service Delivery Run Guide, as well as other MIT processes and practices.

Responsibilities

  1. Design, implement, and support solutions based on Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft SharePoint, Hyper-V, AVD, and Microsoft InTune.
  2. Participate in project planning and scoping including assessments, analyses, milestone development, and establishing timelines for network design and implementation, Microsoft 365 & Azure migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and e-mail migrations.
  3. Design, implement, and support robust network solutions involving LAN, WLAN, WAN, and Internet routing systems.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues across a variety of hardware platforms through practical experience with and knowledge of VLANs, TCP/IP protocols, QoS, VPNs, NAT, routing, and wireless technologies.
  5. Manage and monitor security aspects of IT infrastructure including PCs, servers, printers/copiers, wireless access points, firewalls, switches, routers, and other IoT devices to ensure compliance with applicable cybersecurity frameworks.
  6. Use PowerShell scripting for automation tasks and problem-solving.
  7. Collaborate with the Service Delivery team to provide comprehensive IT support and solutions for our clients.
  8. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed and be available for occasional special projects that take place after normal operating hours.
  9. Assist team members in researching new technologies, developing short range plans intended to evaluate alternate, customer focused IT products as well as technical platforms for internal use.
  10. Document internal workflows and technical procedures.

Information Technology System Technician

Position Summary

As a rapidly growing provider of professional and managed IT services, Mirador IT is seeking an Information Technology System Engineer to join our team in Concord, NH.  The Information Technology System Technician is responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. This includes responding to inquiries, troubleshooting problems, configuring systems, and maintaining network infrastructure. The Information Technology System Technician will also install and configure systems, diagnose, and repair hardware and software issues, and perform regular maintenance and upgrade activities.  The Information Technology System Technician is expected to organize and perform their daily work in-line with the MIT Service Delivery Run Guide, as well as other MIT processes and practices.

Duties & Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical assistance via phone, email, or online chat.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
  • Document technical processes and procedures
  • Perform regular maintenance and upgrades to computer systems, networks, and related infrastructure.
  • Assist with hardware and software inventory management.
  • Provide training and guidance to end users.
  • Research and recommend new products.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Secondary Functions

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the requirements of MiradorIT LLC.

  • Be available for occasional special projects that take place after normal operating hours.
  • Participate in implementing user account management processes, print-service management, and maintaining optimized connectivity between systems.
  • Provide assistance to team members in assessment, analysis, scope, definition, and time lines when implementing changes in technology.
  • Provide assistance to team members in researching new technologies, developing short range plans intended to evaluate alternate, customer focused IT products.
  • Maintain an extensive depth of knowledge concerning the most recent technological advances, anticipated designs, and future products on the horizon.
